Global Startup Expo 2026 will feature various programs focusing on the 17 strategic areas indicated by Japan’s Growth Strategy Headquarters, primarily centered on the national strategic areas designated by the government (the following 6 areas).

In 2025, we held Global Startup EXPO 2025, a startup event designed to showcase cutting-edge technologies and services from deep tech startups to the world, over two days from Wednesday, September 17 to Thursday, September 18, at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai venue.

Logomark
This logo embodies our aspirations for the future and reflects a spirit deeply rooted in Japanese culture. Its central motif is inspired by mizuhiki—a traditional Japanese decorative cord that symbolizes the act of tying bonds between humans. In Japanese culture, mizuhiki signifies not only the creation of new connections, but also the strengthening of relationships through knots that are not easily undone.
The overall design is based on the form of mizuhiki and is crafted so that the letters “GSE”— representing the initials of Global Startup EXPO — can be recognized within it.
The logo expresses the gathering of startups, corporations, investors, and others who seek to shape the future, uniting their technologies, passions, and trust. Through these strengthened bonds, we can pave new paths toward a better future.
Global Startup EXPO 2025 aspires to be the starting point for such co-creation.
